Awards Description

Prof.(Dr.) P.C Thomas was the longest serving dean of the college of fisheries Rangailunda, Orissa. He was not only one of the best teachers in the history of Orissa University of Agriculture Technology, but also a good human being. In his long career, he has shaped the careers of numerous students who remain ever indebted to him. An avid reader and an acomplished researcher, Prof.(Dr.) Thomas has written a few books that only carry a sample from the ocean of knowledge. The lecture series hosted in his name is a befitting tribute to his immense contribution to the field and especially to his students. The lectures will be held during the PFGF annual meet every year and proposed to be delivered by a person of eminence who a search committee decides to invite. The lecture series starts in 2012 meet and foundation has been made for that. Prof. Thomas would be an invitee to every years function. The award is hosted by the alumni of College of Fisheries Rangailunda.
